People have seen them at the clubs and want to take home 45 minutes of the stage sound they've just heard. But you have to change for the second one, so we're making it more of a studio production record — the single, 'Love Story', was a step in the direction the LP will be taking.

"Let us put down this group now, before they contaminate our youth as did the Rolling Stones"
Said the disc-jockey, in what he figured was an amusing voice: "Did you see Jethro Tull on Top Of The Pops? Weren't they great? Mind you, they had to fumigate the studio immediately afterwards!"
And already one schoolmaster, choked with disbelief after watching the redoubtable Ian Anderson in close-up on the goggle-box, has written to his local paper pleading: "Let us put down this group now, before they contaminate our youth as did the Rolling Stones."

London, UK ‘Top Of the Pops',
BBC London, UK 'Top Of the Pops'. There still may be some confusion as to this date, but there were at least two lip-sync segments of 'Sweet Dream' recorded on the 'Top of the Pops' UK Stage In London. If the date is correct it would be significant as it comes from the very last edition of TOTP to be recorded and broadcast in monochrome (TX: 13/11/69), a mere two days before BBC1 commenced colour transmissions. This excerpt was ironically colorized by us which was broadcast on Hits aGoGo in Germany. The B&W clip is the actual Top of the Pops broadcast.
“I cannot grasp being thought of as a personality – which I will never be. I am just a musician and I only relate Jethro Tull to music. Emotionally that sort of thing means as much to be as eating a boiled egg”. Martin Barre
